About The Blue Bell

Under new Management, The Blue Bell Inn is an Independent Free House with 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms situated in the peaceful village of Kirby Hill outside Boroughbridge. A 19th century Coaching Inn, in days gone by it housed its own prison cell, which was used as an overnight stop by Police Officers transporting prisoners! (Far be it from me to suggest that these upstanding Law Enforcement Officers would have availed themselves of the Inn's hospitality during these sojourns............... but who knows)!!!

We stock a fine selection of quality real ales, continental draught beers and lagers, and our Restaurant serves freshly prepared food made with the very best of local produce.

There are welcoming fires in the winter and a south facing beer garden and terrace for the more temperate months.

The Blue Bell is ideally situated for the Dales, Horse Racing at Ripon Wetherby or York, the historic market town of Thirsk, Cosmopolitan Harrogate and much, much more.
